After departing from our home base in the peaceful Hoffnungsthal Valley, it's time to relax and take in the gorgeous sights and surrounds as you enjoy the beautiful scenic helicopter flight northeast over Rowland Flat, home of Pernod Ricard Wine Makers, where some of Australia's largest wine tanks are located and where St Hugo and Jacob's Creek wines are produced.
Spend some time marveling over the fact that these tanks hold up to 1.4 million litres of WINE before you get a stunning bird’s eye view of the southern end of the Barossa. Descending for our landing at St Hugo Cellar Door where we take a lazy stroll through the vines where you will be guided through a tasting of St Hugo’s Premium Single Vineyard Range.
From the tasting you will be shown to your table to experience a delicious 2-course lunch accompanied by a side and glass of wine overlooking the stunning views.
The St Hugo chefs use regional and seasonal produce to create flavorsome, relaxed food to delight and entice their guests alongside perfectly matched, powerful and elegant St Hugo wines.
After you have over indulged, it’s time to re-board the helicopter, we encourage you to sit back and enjoy the flight as we take you past the quaint town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall following up stream to the South Para Reservoirs before returning to our base via Williamstown, capturing a perfect view of the idyllic southern Barossa Ranges.
